Culturally Informed Therapy From A Therapist Who Gets It
For lots of South Asians, therapy is stigmatized.
You might find yourself thinking:
Will a therapist ever understand my cultural values?
I am supposed to be able to handle this on my own.
But..
You're stuck with one or more of the following:
Finding your way through cultural identity struggles and the clash of intergenerational differences
Handling the pressure of family expectations when it comes to your career, marriage, or the life you want to live
Managing the weight of anxiety while trying to balance traditional values with life in Western society

Clear Moon Therapy
It’s exhausting, isn’t it? Feeling like you always have to explain parts of your culture to people who just don’t understand. It’s frustrating, isolating even. You shouldn’t have to go through that on your own.
When you say, “therapy wasn’t something we talked about at home, or even accepted,” I hear you. I’ve lived that too.
My clients don’t have to teach me why these beliefs existed in their families or communities—I already know. I grew up hearing the same messages.
As a South Asian woman, I know what it’s like to juggle different identities, trying to find where you belong in a world that doesn’t always see the whole you.
But here’s the thing—I also know it’s possible to feel at home in yourself, to show up as the real you in every space, and to finally feel that sense of peace and confidence you’ve been yearning for.
You don’t have to figure it all out alone. I’m here when you’re ready. You deserve this.
I focus on providing therapy that is culturally sensitive, goal-oriented, and tailored to my clients. My approach prioritizes actionable strategies to help you balance your personal and professional lives while addressing self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and communication challenges.
I primarily work with ambitious professionals aged 25–45, particularly those from BIPOC communities, navigating major life transitions like career changes, relocation, or relationship challenges.
At Clear Moon Therapy, I offer individual therapy to help you manage anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma. I also specialize in supporting you through relationship challenges, building self-esteem, and navigating life transitions. My services focus on fostering emotional healing and growth, while helping you embrace your racial identity and build resilience, confidence, and a stronger sense of self.
I offer both options! Sessions can be conducted virtually or in person at our location: 5399 Eglinton Ave W, Suite 204, Etobicoke, ON M8V 3P1.
Therapy involves guiding clients through identity and cultural challenges using empathy and tailored strategies like mindfulness or journaling. It serves as a bridge, fostering personal growth and helping clients navigate intergenerational conflicts while harmonizing their inner worlds with cultural narratives.
I provide therapy to help folks navigate through stress, anxiety and social expectations to foster relationships with themselves and others. I specifically work with people of colour to help with understand and make sense of their lived experiences.
